Scope

We list a single handheld model. It suits table-side ordering, queue busting and delivery. Payment acceptance depends on your payment app and its certification, not on the device alone.

Specify these in your inquiry

  • Windows or Android, and the version.
  • Peripherals: receipt printer width, scanner, customer display, cash drawer port.
  • RAM and storage tier.
  • Housing color and logo.

Choosing the right handheld pos system for your fleet

A handheld pos system has to survive a shift, not just a demo. The POS-6000 is a 5.5 inch Android terminal with a built-in receipt printer and a MediaTek MT6580 CPU. It comes with 2 GB or 4 GB of RAM and 16 GB or 32 GB of storage. That spread matters more than the screen. Two gigs is enough for a single ordering app and light peripheral traffic. Four gigs gives you headroom for a loyalty app, a map view, or heavier barcode scanning. Storage follows the same logic. If your software runs offline and caches menus and transactions, pick the larger tier.

This is the only handheld model we list right now. If you need a bigger screen or a different form factor, look at our Android POS terminals or our desktop touch POS pages. The handheld line is deliberately narrow. We would rather ship one configuration we understand well than five we do not.

What to specify when you request a quote for a portable pos device

Send an RFQ for a portable pos device and tell us three things: the Android version, the RAM and storage tier, and the housing color. Those three choices drive the build. Then list your peripherals. The POS-6000 has a built-in printer, sure. But you may also need a barcode scanner, a customer display, or a cash drawer port. We configure each unit per order. The peripheral list changes the bill of materials and the test plan.

Payment acceptance isn't a device feature. Your payment app and its certified reader handle that. We don't claim PCI or EMV compliance for the hardware. What we can do: make sure the NFC antenna, the Wi-Fi radio, and the 4G module behave predictably with your software. Need a particular band or a particular SIM slot? Those details are easier to handle before the first article build than after.

Integration limits and what we do not make

We make the handheld, not the ecosystem around it. Not the payment gateway, not the loyalty engine, not the kitchen display software. Field service contract? Nope. A unit fails in the field, you swap it under our one-year warranty and we ship a new one. That's the whole model.

We don't make a ruggedized handheld either. The POS-6000 is a commercial device. No IP rating in our spec table, so don't plan on rain, dust, or drops onto concrete. Need a fixed countertop terminal? See our POS-6000 model page. Want a wall-mounted tablet that can act as a self-service kiosk? Our rugged Android tablets may fit better. Buyer needs both a handheld and a countertop unit? Ask us to quote them together-we can share firmware and housing colors across the two lines.
