Where the pos-6000 fits and where it does not
The pos-6000 is a 5.5 inch handheld POS terminal with a built-in printer. We position it for order taking and receipt printing at the point of service. It suits restaurants, cafe counters, retail floors, supermarket aisles, self-service ordering and warehouse scan-and-print tasks. This configuration is typically suited for lightweight POS applications; consult with us for your specific workload. A buyer who needs a fixed counter terminal should look at our desktop touch POS or dual-screen models instead.
Because it is handheld, the pos-6000 moves with your staff. The built-in printer removes the need for a separate printer at each station. But the 5.5 inch screen limits what you can show on one screen. Long menus, complex dashboards or split-screen workflows are better on a 10 inch or larger Android tablet. If you need a larger handheld or a different form factor, send us your workflow description and we will tell you honestly if the pos-6000 is the right fit.
What to specify when you order the pos-6000
When you send an RFQ for the 5.5 inch handheld pos terminal with printer, include the configuration fields that change between orders. Tell us the RAM and ROM combination you want: 2/4GB with 16/32GB. State whether you need 4G or only Wi-Fi. The touch panel is fixed as 10-point capacitive, but confirm the usage environment so we can advise on the protective film or housing finish if needed.
Specify the Android build you expect. We ship AOSP Android, and we can preload your apps, set a custom launcher, or disable Google Mobile Services if your deployment does not use them. If you need a boot animation, logo or label, list it in the OEM section of your inquiry. Also state the printer paper width and any label or barcode requirements, because the built-in printer is part of the housing and we need to match it to your consumables. How the pos-6000 differs from our other handheld POS models
Our handheld POS line includes several form factors. The pos-6000 is the only one with an integrated printer in the 5.5 inch size. Other handheld models may offer different screen sizes or body designs for scan-heavy workflows or long shifts. We can guide you through the trade-offs.
Choose the pos-6000 when the receipt must print at the moment of transaction and the user is mobile. If your staff stay at a counter, a desktop touch POS with a separate printer may be cheaper to service. If they carry the terminal but print only occasionally, a model without a printer may be lighter. We make all of these, so tell us your shift length, average transaction count and paper usage.
