Where the hp525 fits and where it does not
The hp525 is a 10.1 inch RK3568 Android POS terminal built for desktop use in retail, hospitality, and service counters. It runs a main touch display with a capacitive panel. So it works where staff need a compact order screen or customer-facing kiosk. The RK3568 chipset handles Android apps well. But this is not a Windows terminal. If your workflow depends on Windows-only POS software, look at our Intel N-series models like the POS-6000.
We rate the display at ≥250cd/m2 brightness. That's fine for indoor counters, but not for direct sunlight or bright window positions. The standard configuration has 10 touch points and supports multi-touch gestures. Response time is under 5ms. Touch identification validity is greater than 1.5mm, which keeps typing and button presses accurate.
The hp525 doesn't include a receipt printer or barcode scanner in its base form. Peripherals are added per order, so you specify what you need. This model is also not a handheld unit. If you want a portable Android POS, see the HP1701S.
How to specify the hp525 in an RFQ
Planning a deployment with the 10.1 inch RK3568 Android POS terminal? List the exact ports and peripherals you need. The spec table shows VGA, HD, USB 2.0 (2 to 6 ports), USB 3.0 (1 to 2 ports), LAN, COM, Audio, and WiFi. But USB port count and combo? Configurable at order time. Tell us if you need one COM port or two, and whether you want VGA or HD as your secondary display output.
Specify RAM and storage. The base build is 2GB + 16GB. Enough for one POS app and light data collection? Yes. But if your software caches large menus or runs multiple services, ask about higher configurations. We build AOSP Android without Google Mobile Services by default. So if your app requires GMS, say so. Want open ADB and a custom launcher? Mention that too.
OEM project? State your branding needs: logo method, boot animation, preloaded apps, packaging. We answer every inquiry within 24 hours.
Integration notes for system integrators
The hp525 runs Android on Rockchip RK3568, the same chipset family we use across our Android tablets. Standard Android debugging and deployment tools? Your team already knows them. ADB's open and available, and we can ship units with a custom launcher so the POS app boots straight into kiosk mode. No Google Play certification on these builds unless you specifically need GMS.
Wiring's straightforward. LAN for wired networks, WiFi for wireless. The COM port supports common serial peripherals like cash drawers. USB ports handle scanners, keyboards, or customer displays.
