Software
Standard AOSP Android. Custom launcher, boot logo, preloaded apps, open ADB and builds without GMS are available through OEM firmware.

Where the HP1012T fits and where it does not
The hp1012t is a 10.1 inch wall mount PoE Android tablet. Built for fixed installs that need a clean single-cable run for power and data. It suits meeting room schedulers, smart home panels, and light room control. The IPS panel gives wide viewing angles. 300 nit brightness works in most indoor spots away from direct sun.
We don't pitch it for outdoor kiosks, direct-sun storefronts, or heavy industrial enclosures. Need higher brightness or a larger display? Check our 10 inch options or the 13 inch series.
A buyer who needs a wall mount panel with PoE but no touch would find this model over-specified. Say you need a display only. We can talk about a different build. But the HP1012T shines when the project calls for a fixed Android panel with Ethernet.
What to specify when you order the HP1012T
Your RFQ should state the OS build you need. The HP1012T ships with Android 5.1 by default. Need Google Mobile Services, open ADB, or a custom launcher? Tell us. These choices affect the firmware we flash before packing.
Confirm the PoE standard your switch provides. The tablet accepts IEEE802.3at/af, so a standard 802.3at switch or injector works. If you plan to use a passive PoE injector, say so; we can advise whether it will power this model. The RJ45 port with PoE is built in. No external splitter is needed.
For mounting, the HP1012T is a wall mount form factor. Send us your wall box or bracket dimensions if you have a specific back box. Custom cutouts or a different housing color are OEM options. Also list any preloaded apps or boot animation you want.
HP1012T versus sibling models
The HP1012T is one of several 10.1 inch Android tablets we make. It differs from the WA8058T mainly in PoE and mounting. The WA8058T sits on a desk or L-shape. The HP1012T is wall mount only. Need a desk stand? Choose the WA8058T.
Compared to the WA1036T, the HP1012T offers a different feature set. It's adequate for typical indoor corridors and meeting rooms. For a ruggedized build, the WH1018T may be a better fit. Depends on your requirements.
The WL1026T is a similar wall mount model. Check the spec table on that page. If your project uses a Power over Ethernet switch as the sole power source, the HP1012T is the simpler choice. Why? PoE is native to the model.
