Smart home control panel hardware
Wall mount Android tablets for home automation touch screens. They run your control app and take power over Ethernet.

What the panel does
It is an Android wall tablet. Your automation app, or a web dashboard in kiosk mode, provides the control interface. The hardware provides the touch screen, network and power.
Wiring
PoE over RJ45 removes the need for a mains outlet in the wall box. Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n is on board where a cable run is not possible.
Specify these in your inquiry
- RAM and storage tier. Several models list two tiers.
- Android version. It follows the chipset, see the OS column.
- PoE, NFC, camera, 4G: optional on many models.
- GMS or AOSP, launcher lock-down, ADB access.
- Housing color and logo method.
Specifying a home automation touch screen
When you send an RFQ for a wall mounted smart home panel, the row you pick from the table is only the start. The spec table shows two current models, and the blank cells matter as much as the filled ones. A blank means we have not yet fixed that value for the standard build. Tell us the value you need and we check it against the board support package before we quote.
The panel is the part your customer touches every day. So the RFQ should state the housing color, the logo method and the boot animation, because those become the first impression of the installed system. Also state whether you need the launcher locked down, ADB open, or a non-GMS build. Those choices change the flashing and QA steps more than the hardware does.
Say you need a smart home tablet with a specific chipset or a minimum RAM tier. We can usually match it, but not always from the two rows shown here. Ask us before you design the bracket and the wall box around a model that may be replaced by a newer one with the same mounting pattern.
Power and wiring for the wall
Both models in the table take power over Ethernet. The HP1012T lists IEEE802.3at/af, and the HS-SHT1568 lists PoE as standard. A PoE injector or switch removes the mains outlet from the wall box, but you still need to plan the cable route and the back box depth before the drywall goes up. A recessed box that is too shallow leaves the panel proud of the wall, which looks wrong in a finished home.
Our PoE Android tablets share the same power design, so if you already integrate one of those, the wiring is familiar. When PoE is not possible, Wi-Fi is on board, but we cannot promise a specific signal level through stone or concrete. You may want to test the location with a phone before you commit the panel.
For a wall mounted smart home panel, the installer usually runs one RJ45 and leaves a service loop inside the box. That loop is what allows the next technician to pull the panel out, check the connections and reseat it without cutting the cable.
Where this category stops
We sell the panel hardware, not the home automation hub or the control app. The panel runs your app or a web dashboard in kiosk mode. The touch screen, the network stack and the power are ours. The logic that turns a lamp on or off belongs to your system. If your customer expects a fully programmed home controller out of the box, this is not that product.
The two rows in the table are close neighbours to our other wall tablets. The 10.1 inch model fits a single-gang or double-gang box; the 15.6 inch model needs a purpose-made recess. Compare them with our 8 inch Android tablets if the wall area is tight, or with the larger 21 inch Android tablets if the panel doubles as a family message board.
We do not make faceplates for third-party mounting systems, and we do not supply the wall box itself. A buyer who needs a specific depth or a magnetic trim should send us the drawing and we will confirm whether our housing fits inside it. That is a yes or no, not a custom enclosure.
