Choosing a 13 inch android tablet: wall, L-shape, or call handle

The 13 inch android tablet is our workhorse size for counters, patient rooms and meeting room doors. Four models are listed, but they split into three mounting families. The WA1342T and WA1412T are wall mount tablets. The WL1338T has an L-shape desktop base. The WH1336T is a wall mount unit with a call handle for nurse or service stations.

Resolution matters if your UI shows a full day of events or a dense menu. The WA1342T and WA1412T list 1920 x 1080. The other two rows leave resolution blank. So ask us before you assume they are Full HD. A 13.3 or 14 inch panel at that resolution gives you a lot of readable rows without scrolling.

RAM and storage vary. The WL1338T ships with 4 GB plus 64 GB. That suits a launcher plus a few heavy apps. The WH1336T is 2 GB plus 16 GB, a leaner tier for a single task. The WA1412T offers two tiers, while the WA1342T is fixed at 2 GB plus 16 GB. Pick the tier that matches your app, not just today's demo.

What to put in the RFQ for a 13.3 inch android tablet

A 13.3 inch android tablet RFQ should go beyond model number and quantity. Tell us the mounting surface: drywall, glass, a desk, a VESA pattern if you already have brackets. For the WL1338T, specify desk thickness and cable exit direction. For wall models, say whether the cable enters from behind or below.

Specify the Android build you need. We ship AOSP by default, but we can preload your APKs, lock the launcher, open ADB, or set a kiosk mode. If you need Google Mobile Services, say so early; it changes the software image. Also list the optional modules you want: PoE, NFC, camera, 4G. PoE is standard on the WA1342T and WL1338T, optional on the WA1412T, and not listed on the WH1336T. NFC is only listed as optional on the WA1412T.

Finally, include housing color, logo method, and any packaging language. We can silk print, use a metal badge, or change the boot animation. The more complete your RFQ, the fewer questions we send back.

How a 14 inch android tablet fits between 10 and 15 inch models

A 14 inch android tablet is a niche size. The WA1412T is our only model in this row. Its LED surround sets it apart. The lights show room status from a distance, which matters in a corridor or a busy counter. Don't need the LEDs? The 13 inch android tablet models may cost less for the same Android work.

Compare it with our 10 inch android tablets and 15 inch android tablets. The 10 inch is lighter and cheaper for a simple sign-in screen. The 15 inch gives more room for a split view or a larger touch target. The 14 inch splits the difference. But the LED ring is what makes buyers choose it over either neighbour.

Need a room schedule or a nurse call display? A 1920 x 1080 panel on a 14 inch screen is dense enough to show a full day without shrinking text below comfort. If your app is a single large button, you may not need that density. So tell us what the screen must show from two meters away. We'll tell you which size fits.

Common questions

Which 13 inch android tablet models support PoE?

The WA1342T and WL1338T list PoE as standard. The WA1412T lists PoE as optional. The WH1336T does not list PoE in the current spec table. If you need PoE on a model where it is not listed, ask us; some options depend on the batch and the housing version.

Can you preload our app and lock the tablet to a kiosk mode?

Yes. We can preload your APKs, set a custom launcher, lock the device to one app, and open ADB if your team needs it. We can also remove Google Mobile Services or include them if your app requires them. Send the APK and your desired lockdown rules with the RFQ.

What is the difference between the WA1412T and other 13.3 inch models?

The WA1412T has a 14 inch screen and an LED light surround, which shows room or counter status from a distance. It also offers optional PoE and NFC. The 13.3 inch models do not list an LED surround. Choose the WA1412T when the light ring is part of your product, not just a nice extra.
