Where the WA1412T fits, and where it does not
The wa1412t is a 14 inch RK3566 meeting room tablet with LEDs built right into the surround. It's meant for fixed spots: by a conference room door, at a reception desk, on a wall near a huddle space. The glow reads as one unit because the LEDs are part of the housing, not a separate strip. No trouble for the RK3566 to run a single-purpose room display or a light kiosk.
We don't call this a general work tablet or a point-of-sale terminal. It isn't rugged. The camera's a front-facing 2.0 megapixel unit for basic use, not document capture. Need a desktop L-shape Android tablet? Look at the WL1026T instead. For a simpler 10 inch wall model without LEDs, the WA8058T is a closer sibling.
Specifying the WA1412T in an RFQ
Tell us the memory and storage combination you want: 2 GB RAM with 16 GB ROM, or 4 GB RAM with 32 GB ROM. State whether the unit needs optional POE or optional NFC. The spec table lists both as optional. A blank RFQ line may get you a unit without them. Also confirm the Android 11 build you expect. We ship AOSP by default. But we can preload a launcher or a single app if that's part of your order.
For room scheduling, specify what the tablet should do when the network drops. The RK3566 can cache a local schedule. That depends on your app. We don't write scheduling software. Want the LED ring to change color by room state? Say so. The LEDs are controllable from Android, but your application must drive them.
How the WA1412T differs from nearby models
Within our Android tablet line, the WA1412T sits between the smaller WA1036T and larger 15 inch models. The 14 inch size with a 1920x1080 panel is unusual. Most of our 13 to 15 inch units share that resolution, so the extra inch gives you a slightly larger touch target without changing your UI layout. It's the LED surround that really sets it apart. Most of our wall tablets have a plain bezel.
Need POE as a hard requirement? The POE Android tablet page lists other models that support it, and you can order the WA1412T with it too. But don't assume every WA1412T has POE; it's a per-order option. For a meeting room display with a smaller footprint, check out the HP1012T. That's a 10 inch alternative without the LED ring.
