17.3 inch Android tablets

Choosing a 17 inch tablet: wall mount vs L-shape desktop

A 17 inch tablet splits into two physical forms here. The HP1733T is a wall mount panel with a 75 x 75 mm VESA pattern. The WL1718L is an L-shape desktop unit that stands on a counter. Pick based on where the user stands and how the space is built.

The wall model uses an RK3399 chipset, which gives you Android 7.1 or 9.0 depending on the OS column. The desktop model uses RK3288 and lists Android without a version. If you need a specific Android release, specify it in the RFQ and we will confirm the build that ships.

Both models list 2 GB RAM. Storage differs: 16 GB fixed on the wall model, 16 GB or 32 GB on the desktop model. For a kiosk UI that mostly runs one app, 2 GB is workable. If your app caches video or handles large menus, ask for the 32 GB tier and test it with your APK.

Specifying a 17.3 inch Android tablet for your project

A 17.3 inch android tablet RFQ should state the chipset, RAM and storage tier, Android version, and any per-order options from the table. Do not assume a blank cell means a feature is absent. It means we have not listed a value for that model. Ask us directly.

• PoE: the HP1733T lists IEEE 802.3at/af as an option. The WL1718L leaves PoE blank. If you need PoE on the desktop model, say so and we will check the current board revision.
• NFC: the WL1718L lists optional NFC. The HP1733T shows a dash. If NFC matters, tell us the tag type and read distance you expect.
• Camera, 4G, barcode scanner, fingerprint: these are per-order options on many models but are not shown in this table. Include them in the RFQ when you need them.

Also send us your Android tablet use case: launcher requirements, whether you need GMS or AOSP, ADB access, and any preloaded apps. We answer within 24 hours.

Integration limits and what we do not make

We build the display hardware and the Android board. We do not build the payment stack, the app, or the back end. A buyer who needs PCI or EMV acceptance must bring a certified reader and payment app. Our hardware is the terminal, not the payment device.

We do not promise compliance beyond ISO 9001, CE, FCC and RoHS. Medical tablets in our line are information and call terminals, not certified medical devices. If your project needs a medical certification, that is outside our listed scope.

What we do is take your logo, boot animation, manual, color box, labels, preloaded apps, custom launcher, firmware changes and housing color as OEM work. Say you need a custom launcher that blocks settings and boots straight into your app; that is a normal request.
