Bedside and nurse call
The 10.1 inch model lists a call handle, a 5MP front camera, NFC and Ethernet with 3G/4G. The 13.3 inch model runs RK3568 with Android 11. Both run your nurse call or patient information app on Android.
Waiting room and door-side displays
A wall tablet outside a consulting room shows the clinician, the queue and the next patient. It connects to the hospital system through your app over Ethernet or Wi-Fi. PoE keeps the door frame free of power outlets.
Specify these in your inquiry
- RAM and storage tier. Several models list two tiers.
- Android version. It follows the chipset, see the OS column.
- PoE, NFC, camera, 4G: optional on many models.
- GMS or AOSP, launcher lock-down, ADB access.
- Housing color and logo method.
- These are information and call terminals, not certified medical devices. Cleaning and housing requirements should be stated up front.
Choosing between the two medical tablet computers
Two wall-mount models appear on this page: the WH1018T and WH1336T. Screen size and the call handle are the main things separating them. Need a 10.1 inch panel with a built-in handle for bedside or nurse call work? The WH1018T's your pick. It supports PoE and NFC, so one Ethernet cable carries data and power, and it reads staff badges or patient tags. Base spec is 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. A 4GB/32GB tier is optional for heavier apps.
The WH1336T is a 13.3 inch panel without a handle, based on what we publish. It runs an RK3568 chipset and Android 11. That matters if your software team targets a newer API level. The bigger screen helps in waiting rooms or door-side displays where patients read from a distance. Before you shortlist, check which optional modules you need: camera, 4G, PoE, NFC. Some are listed only on the 10.1 inch model.
Specifying your RFQ for a hospital bedside tablet
A hospital bedside tablet is a wall mount Android device, but the RFQ should go beyond the diagonal. Start with the app requirements: Android version, RAM and storage tier, and whether you need GMS or an AOSP build. For a nurse call tablet, state how the call handle should behave, whether the front camera is used for video calls, and what cleaning agents the housing will face.
Then list connectivity. PoE is the cleanest option in a ward, but if the room lacks PoE switches, you'll need a power adapter or a different wiring plan. NFC support is listed on the WH1018T, so say if you need badge or tag reading. 4G is an option on some models, useful when the hospital Wi-Fi is restricted. Finally, give us your housing color and logo method. We can silk print, metal badge, or change the boot animation under our OEM scope.
Integration notes and our limits
These tablets run Android. So your team owns the patient info app, the nurse call app, the launcher-all device management. We preload apps, lock down the launcher, and leave ADB open for your engineers during development. We don't certify the tablet as a medical device. We don't handle patient data or network security either. Payment or identity features? Those depend on your certified reader and app, not our board.
Our in-house checks cover appearance and function, and we answer inquiries within 24 hours. Need a different screen size? Check our wider Android tablet line or the rugged tablets for harsher environments. Got a cleaning protocol or a specific mounting bracket? Tell us, and we'll say what's possible with the standard housing.
